"Oooookay," she stretched out her reply.
That sentence appeared in a dead-tree book I'm reading. When I read the sentence, it came across to me as rhyming with "Booo-kay." Not sure how I would have written it to get what I think the sound should be, rhyming with "Boh-kay," but which does not stretch out the word.
How would you write it?
