I'm not sure that I should remove the download version of the mobi files. We'll see. I may force all kindle clicks to go through mail. Haven't made a decision yet.
My $0.02(US), you probably should.
The easiest way to get it to your kindle is to use the Amazon mail to kindle from your home account.
I've run into two issue with that in the last year or so.
1. Amazon now treats .mobi files as personal documents not e-books, so it won't be automatically converted like an e-pub and it ends up as a personal document on your Kindle reader which has a few disadvantages.
2. The no longer support sending personal documents to the Kindle reader for PC.
I used to have a Kindle paper white, but it got damaged and for a while I was just using the Kindle reader for PC.
I have an android tablet now and I do have the kindle reader for Android installed on it but I don't use it much.
Unless someone has a really old Kindle Paper white, at this point, they are probably better off in the long run getting an e-pub, using the mail to Kindle and letting Amazon handle the conversion.
