Also, pre-announcing An April's Fools day Writing contest. It will be about April's fools, so a prank or something specific to April 1st has to be included in the story.

I have long had a concept of basically "spoofing" one of my own stories, and literally turning the way it went on it's head as a way to kind of troll readers (in a fun way).
As in, it being an "alternate reality", and it ends up in a very different place when compared to the original.

If the story has something to do with April 1st, sure.
Otherwise, anybody reading it on April 10 for example wouldn't get the prank.
Seriously, if you could post a calendar of contests for the year, that would be amazing. I'm NOT a fast writer and there's no way I could put together a quality valentine's story in time. I didn't finish my Halloween story in time for last year so I'm banking it for this year. Knowing about the April 1 contest increases the odds that I could have something ready in time.

Halloween has always been a good event. Look back through the forum announcements page and you'll see that.
For whatever reason, the rest of the events, not so much. My own Halloween story was started four years ago - and I got two pages done, and it's still sitting in a file, waiting for me to finish it.
Is there something specific that needs to be done for making sure a post goes to a contest? A note to the moderators or something? I just wanted some clarification is all, thanks.
When submissions open, there will be a giant button to submit a story into the contest. Instead of clicking 'New Story' you click that button.
