Weekend Update - July 19th

Hello readers,

As some of you may have noticed, Jane Finds Herself chapter 51 dropped today. First things first, I'd like to apologize for the delay. I thought writing would go fast but each time I sat down to write, I grew frustrated very quickly. Writing felt like scraping my balls over broken glass and not even in the fun way. As it was the last chapter of the story, I put so much pressure on myself to get it right that I froze up. Hopefully what I wrote was worth the wait, but that will be up to you.

In my previous blog about this story, I wrote that I would be reworking the Epilogue to fix some issues readers had with the previous chapter. Well, that didn't work out as I expected, I needed more than just a few pages, so I wrote a whole new chapter. This chapter is essentially the end of Jane's story, tying up most of the loose ends of her character. There will still be an Epilogue that will be posted some time this week, though I don't know the exact day.

In another blog in the future, I will write more about the experience of writing Jane Finds Herself. It was certainly a ride, and one I'm shocked went as long as it did. I'd also like to write an introspection review about the Science Club series at some point as well. Both will examine what I did right and what I think could be improved in the future. I'd love feedback from you on those when they are written, maybe I can do a 'What the Readers Think' follow up.

Secondly, His Sister's Keeper, posting on my side accountghostwritten after dark. Been getting mixed reception to this, which I sort of expected. It is far outside the confines of my usual writing and much darker than most people enjoy. Comments are a mixed bag from those that are enjoying it to others saying I should move on (and one telling me to drink bleach). I've decided, once the final chapter in the current batch is posted (will be chapter 10) that I'm going to put it to a vote. A simple question, Do I keep writing this story? It'll be attached to that final chapter but I would like to hear from everyone, even those than started and stopped reading it. I think that final chapter will post on August 5th, if my timing is right. I will call it out again closer to the date. Majority rules on this one.

Finally, once all those things have been posted, the end of Jane and His Sister's Keeper, I'm going to be stepping back from posting for the rest of the summer. I'll still be around and likely working on new writing projects for the future, but I won't be posting any new stories or chapters. With everything that happened with Jane and other stuff, I need a break to recoup and feel the joy of writing without constant deadlines. I've been posting consistently, at least one thing a week often two, for over two years now. It's funny, when I started I had a simple goal of posting one story every week from June 15th to the end of August that year; I think I managed that and then some. I wanted to make a contribution to the erotic writing community, a repayment for all the great stories I've read over the years; I hope I was able to do that. I hope at least one of my stories made you smile or laugh as well as got you where you needed to go in the sex department. Through it all, it has been fun.

Thank you for reading my stupid and goofy stories these past few years and for all your comments, messages, and review scores.
