I had the rare opportunity to spend a quiet day writing, working on editing and polishing Chapter 11 of Blood Sonata. As I was gutting through a paragraph, cutting and pasting to rearrange the lines, my mouse glitched and the paragraph pasted over the whole chapter instead. In a panic, yours truly clicked on the browser back button instead of the Google Docs Undo button.
Now, I just want to lie down in a fetal position and sleep for the next week. Yes, I did have a draft in another file, but it's basically one-liners and scenes.
The only silver lining I could grasp onto right now is that it wasn't the whole manuscript that was pasted over.
