The revised first compendium, containing forty-four chapters, has been submitted for reposting. Once live, it will remain outside premium for thirty days per my usual process. No major changes to plot or characters; instead, this second edition’s prose has been updated to 2026 standards. Sheesh, was that 2023-era version…rough. The eBook has also been updated on zBookstore and will enjoy a discount for the same period.
The final tranche of chapters is being reworked. Those who follow me on Discord are well aware of the issues with the original writing. Since the addition of a proper plot and character tonal shifts, the dreck I scribbled back in 2020-1 is no longer valid. As such, I’ll be mulling over how best to ensure the proper conclusion to Jim and Mandy’s tale.
While ruminating, I’ll be reading the second compendium and finishing an unrelated novella based on an SOL member’s idea. Multi-track brains ftw, amirite? Not to worry, still on schedule: rough draft finished in April, with editing slated for June. Fingers crossed, the weekly release of chapters here on SOL should begin in July.
