When I started Their Wonder Years: Fall 98, I honestly didn’t know how long this arc would run, or how deeply I’d end up living with these characters. What began as a simple idea about a young man leaving home turned into a long, messy, funny, sometimes uncomfortable, and ultimately very personal journey.
Tomorrow, the final chapter of Season One goes live.
I want to take a moment to thank the core readers who stayed with the story through its slow moments, its chaos, its tonal shifts, and its experiments. Your comments, messages, and even disagreements helped shape the arc more than you probably realize. This story is better because it was read, not just written.
For new readers discovering the story now, I hope you enjoy it for what it is: a character-driven, slice-of-life coming-of-age story with humor, heart, and imperfections very much intact.
Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll be doing a light cleanup pass - fixing typos, formatting issues, and trimming or tightening a few scenes that didn’t land the way I intended the first time. If you spot anything wrong... please DM me.
Season Two will begin toward the end of the month, continuing the story forward with the same characters, consequences, and long-form approach. This season will focus on the harem's holiday in Gatlinburg. It will be a darker arc that will shed light on Sarah's past. Stay tuned for more.
Thank you again for reading. whether you’ve been here since the beginning or just arrived.
Onward.
