Merry Christmas to all! While I am continuing to edit my primary story (Aztlan Portal), and am trying to get editorial assistance, I keep writing. Currently I am pet and house sitting.
While I am away from home I have written a short 'Christmas Story' set during the fierce combat of the Battle of the Bulge. Winter of 1944-45 was one of the coldest winters, in Europe, in a hundred years. Such difficult conditions may inspire a deeper appreciation of the little things in life, and life itself.
My current internet is not great. Although the story is complete, I am posting just one chapter a day. I had hoped to start posting sooner, so the story would finish on Christmas Day.
I have had to rush the self-editing, so I am sure I have missed more than a few errors. I welcome any constructive criticism. In particular any spelling errors. I intend to repost the chapters, after making corrections. I think the story is good, but I want to correct any errors. Please PM me, or post in the Forums.
Wishing all of you and your Loved Ones a very Mery Christmas! Most veterans, who have spent holidays, or even years away from their homes and loved ones, while in the service of their nation, tend to have a deeper appreciation of Christmas, and the little pleasures of life.
God Bless and protect the members of the Washington Army National Guard who have been mobilized to assist communities threatened by flooding, and others in the USA, and across the globe, who will be away from Home, Harth, and Loved Ones, this Christmas.
