The saying goes that curiosity killed the cat. In my new story, the kitty cat, a curious, innocent virgin, gets nailed when she incites a blameless adulterer, stoking a fatal attraction, a forbidden love between them. Shakespeare would have described it eloquently as a “fair maiden inflaming the affections of a steadfast admirer, thereby engendering consequences of a most libertine nature, and she receiving her just reward.”
