I write mainly for fun. I hope you're not expecting Shakespeare, Sagan, Hawking, or Orwell when you click on a Cindy Sinful story. I am writing for fun. And to help people get off, but that is another post.
I will be the first to admit I do not do a great job of editing or checking my stories. I usually rip one out, let Word and Grammarly do some checking, and send it off. Nothing major, but it's not like I'm sending something to Congress. In today's society, I doubt many of them put that much effort into their bills.
Recently, I was working on a story titled "Stroke Stories." While I was working on the first half, I told the story in third-person. A couple of days later, I continued the work, but for some reason, got it into my head that I had said the first part in first-person and continued there. By the time I had realized I had switched from third to first person, quite a bit had been done.
And I am WAY to lazy to fix all of that bullshit, so I used a little bit of my so-called "author's creativity" and cinematically changed the point of view, for want of a better phrase. I made it seem like it had been done on purpose with the insertion of one line: June became me.
I pulled it off terribly, but I will stick with that choice until I finally get my act together and truly start editing some of these.
In the meantime, I will have fun.
