Hello readers,
I’d first like to thank everyone who checked out Winter’s Bite: Whiteout. It smashed my expectations for views and score, which was quite a surprise. I won’t do those types of stories often, they are fun as a random aside, but it is nice to know there is an audience who’ll give them a shot. I do have plans for a couple more in that series in the future, but it won’t be for a while.
Unfortunately, this week will not have a Wednesday story. I had hoped to have Sister’s Servant ready, but I think I need an extra week to sure up the chapters to come. That being said, I am starting to think about what comes next after the last chapter of Sister’s Servant is posted (likely at the end of May). I have Snowed In mostly complete (needs more 1 chapter and a conclusion) but does it make sense to release that near summer? I don’t really know, do people care about that stuff?
The big thing about Snowed In is that it is supposed to be the start of a series of stories. I’ve been thinking of it as a writing a TV show. Each story (4 to 5 chapters long) would be an episode of the show. It would have a beginning, middle, and end, with some setup for future stuff. I think it could be interesting to write, and I’ve enjoyed how it has gone so far. If people like the first story, which is the setup of the characters/macguffin, which the series revolves around, I have a plan for 5 more episodes after that. Let me know what you think about that. Otherwise, I need to think about the next story to come for the Wednesday drop.
What I actually wrote this week – Camping 3 is now done. Still need an actual name for this thing but I’m liking how it is going. This story should start being posted on May 3, so I hope to have a name before then.
After that, I’m just putting the finishing touches on Sister’s Servant chapter 14. This week went a little easier than the last. Next week should be the final chapter, unless I see enough material left over to do an extra. I never really know if there’s enough meat on the bone to make something interesting that’s worth reading. I guess I’ll know by next week’s blog.
This upcoming weekend is the finale of Snow Angel. This one has been a rollercoaster of ups and downs, but I hope to close it out on a positive. Can Callie and Shane make the long-distance relationship work or will it crumble like snow under a boot? As always, feel free to let me know your thoughts on the story as a whole. I try to incorporate as much feedback as possible in future stories. You might not see it right away, as you might tell, I will write in advance for the next few weeks. I do read all comments and try to respond to messages when I can.
Well, thanks for another great week of writing and reading. Thanks you everyone for reading and commenting.
