I want to thank a certain UK reader who happens to be a big wrestling fan for reminding me that Hulk Hogan was not a household name in 1981. He was an up-and-coming "heel", but not anywhere near established as a star until a few years later (especially after his performance as "Thunder-Lips" in Rocky 3).
Ric Flair was better known to fans of the NWA (National Wrestling Alliance), but as that league was more regionalized (primarily in the south), Flair would only be widely known in the American south or parts of the country that had Cable TV (as WTBS aired NWA broadcasts nationally starting in 1979).
As it was unlikely that cable had made it to East Chilton's rural parts in 1981, it makes sense to change the wrestlers Tim mentions at the end of Chapter 13 to ones he would have seen on Pittsburgh TV. I've changed the wrestler names to Bob Backlund and The Iron Sheik (as they wrestled for the WWF Title in 1980).
Thanks again to everybody for their great feedback and support!
