We did my birthday party today, since it's rather inconvenient to do so in the middle of the week. My son got me a pair of EnChroma over the glasses sunglasses. These are designed for outdoors, so they don't work as well under natural light. I'm red-green color blind.
Not with these on. I can see colors to a certain extent, but I get a lot of them mixed up. I can typically tell the bright red paint of a fire truck, but the red leaves on a holly bush looked brown to me. Same thing with blue and purple. I've always been able to see shades, and I've just gone with, okay, that's what you all say is green, so I call it that.
Now I can actually see it, and process it correctly. I'm not as color blind as a lot of guys, so it wasn't a crying moment, but ... damn. They're not cheap - $200 - $300 a pair. But ... colors. I almost can't wait for the next rainbow, so I can see more than three colors in one.
