Two months from today, it will be Halloween. I can't help but wonder what that will look like this year. I can't imagine kids going door to door in this COVID-19 world and ending up with a bag of candy that has had 150 hands on it. I wonder if we will ever go back to what things were like before 2020.
I wrote this little story several years ago, and while the characters in my stories all have bits of real people in them, this is the only one that has a main character who is someone I know. She's this uber hot young mom who lives in my neighbourhood, and one Halloween she showed up at my front door in a Little Bo Peep costume that left absolutely nothing to the imagination. That made my imagination go into overdrive, of course, and this story was the result.
When I first posted this, someone wrote and told me he supposed it was an ok story but that I shouldn't have wasted my time writing it. He thought I should stick to the bigger stories I was working on, and not let myself get distracted.
But my muse doesn't work that way - and I'm sorry about that. I've got a few other short stories that you may see sometime, stories that popped into my head and needed to be written down, even if they were just a brief distraction.
Anyway, that's enough rambling for one day. Here's to the moms who dress up and go out trick or treating with their kids - to the memories they make for their kids by being good sports, and to the memories they make for old farts like me by dressing like sluts!
