While I was writing the chapter about the state championship football game, I was reminded of Indiana basketball. The movie, 'Hoosiers', was based upon a real school and real team. And was also the reason that it took Indiana a LONG time to switch to the class (school size) system for basketball. I remember being a senior, and it got to sectional time. We had a good team, when you consider that we had less than 300 students in the entire high school. We won our sectional, because it was also against small, rural schools. Then we went to the regional and were demolished quickly and without strain. Their SHORTEST guy was taller than our TALLEST player.
From a writing standpoint, I'm honestly not that much further along from where I was last Friday, but that should change because my elbow and wrist finally aren't hurting me enough that I need to take Norco. And since I react to Norco a little odd, I also have to take Benadryl when I do so. (That's the polite way of saying I've been sleeping 14 hours a day.) I have gotten the first ten chapters to Jim, and most of them back, so I'm ready to go on the 1st, and I've been working through his edits of Book One, so it can be re-posted once that's done. (Editing is not as strenuous as creatively writing - or in training Dragon 15 that I did NOT say clip or posies! 'I licked her clip when the others spread their posies, waiting for my caulk.' doesn't quite work.)
