This week with Arlene and Jeff:
...The limousine glided up the mountain road, eventually stopping at the bottom of the driveway to the Retreat. Mr. Tanaka eyed the guardhouse and barrier a short way up the drive. Realizing that he would not be allowed to approach his wife, he ordered the driver to turn around, but there was a knock on the driver's window and a uniformed man wearing a strange helmet was suddenly standing there with a rifle of some type on a sling over his shoulder.
The visor retracted and the man asked the driver, who had lowered his window, "May I help you, Sir?"
Tanaka instructed his driver to tell the guard that they were merely driving around and had not realized that the road was a dead end.
The driver repeated what he had been told, but cut his eyes back toward Mr. Tanaka, thinking that Tanaka could not be seen through the tinted glass, but, nevertheless, conveying to the guard that he was repeating what his passenger wanted him to say.
The guard, with the assistance of his visor, had seen the passenger through the tinting, and with the helmet's enhancement, heard what Tanaka had told the driver, in addition to having watched the limo's progress up the mountain from all the hidden cameras along the way. From the tag, Security knew who the limo belonged to, and computers sought out pictures of Mr. Tanaka long before the limo arrived at the bottom of the Matthews' drive.
The guard leaned closer. "Tell Mr. Tanaka that I will ask Mr. Matthews if he will see your boss, should he wish."...
Have a goodun;
