I am posting an autobiographical piece called "Duty.". I've written it in present tense, because that is the voice that works best for this particular story. It is rather grim.
Putting up "Necessary Evil", another of the "Tales From The Shack." This one is essentially standaline, but timeline wise, it would be after "Nobody." Thanks everybody for the amazing encouragement and support.
Posting a darkly humorous little tale entitled "The Secret Life of Secretaries" - it's warped and weird, but at least its a quick read.
I'm posting "Gibbous Tendrils", a respectful nod to the great Robert E. Howard. Very different from my normal tales of operators, spies and soldiers. It's just under 5K words, which is dead center four page pulp magazine story length.
"Nobody" fits right after "Pogo and Spooky" - technically right before the last paragraph of that story. It's true Noire, best read in dim light with a bottle of bourbon to hand.
