So there I was, plodding along with another Oscar story. I think it'll be okay. Up to chapter ten. Then I has this idea.
Picture in my mind. Fits in as a Devastation Diary entry. So, sorry, folks, I got diverted. Not sure which will get finished first, but probably the entry - 'Lady Betty'. We'll see. As well as the above I'll soon be setting off on MY Oscar to spend a week child-minding in Maldon. And, yes, it'll be a cold ride, possibly a wet and unpleasant one - both ways. But I'll be on my bike, and I'll have free time during the day once I get there; the girls are in school.
Jim, retired from nursing early, burnt out. Simone is obese and very unhappy. Jim cannot resist trying to help...
I'll be posting this 10,000 word short story tomorrow, Tuesday.
I'll be posting a new ATA story in the morning. Eileen Jones and David Halliwell are drawn together by the shared history of their grandparents.
A reader left a comment on 'Muse', which included a link to a John Gorka song in praise of the beverage, thanks taeraresh;

He's far from the first, though. J S Bach wrote a short opera in praise of coffee, and Beethoven is known to have been an enthusiast.
Here's to the elixir of life!
