As always I appreciate all the constructive feedback. Especially when the pages don't look right, because I don't always go back in and see how they come out (I should be better about this).
I'm trying to fix that little scramble in the 4th chapter where he buys his first stocks.
Also, this is a note of caution or forewarning because I have triggered folks in the past. Don't say I didn't warn you...
The next couple of chapters are going to get heavy. In fact, I will try and piss you off royally--beginning in Chapter 5. Bad things are going to happen and this is by design. And just when you think there is light at the end of the tunnel...the tunnel will collapse (lol).
I am building this story in three parts (sort of like Carter Davis) but all three sections will share the same title. Part one is tentatively 'subtitled' "Rock Bottom" so you sorta get the idea. If you love the story, then try to bear with me because this next stage is important for the rest of Peter's development into the... well, you'll see eventually.
You know what they say about hitting rock bottom...
Cheers everyone,
Rotty
Damn! 2024 is turning out to be one crazy AF year... And it ain't even February yet! Ya know it's tough for an old writer like me to come up with some new, crazy story idea when reality is so much more insane. If I tried to write about crap that is going on today...lol. (yep, shaking my head.)
It seems like truth has become an inconvenience when one has to work to uncover it. It is better to go with the established narrative. The ability to read is such a gift--many don't have. The illiterate are the ones I pity most. To be able to escape into the pages of a book for just a brief moment is something I will always cherish.
So there are two paragraphs of meaningless kerfuffle for you. Keep the faith, stay safe, don't believe what you see on TV or the internet. And be grateful that election years are only one in four. It'll be over soon so don't get caught up in herd ignorance. Stock your pantry and fill those gas cans now, before another mass hysteria event leaves you with your ass in the cold. Being a prepper is not such a bad thing. Ask yourself if you had no electricity, cell phone, internet--would you be okay? Can you pull that emergency radio off your shelf and have batteries to power it if needed? What about your neighbors? Do you have water to drink, wash, flush your toilet? Can you cook? Stay warm? Can you get away?
Peace everyone.

When I submitted the second chapter it seems to be tagged onto the bottom of Chapter One so it doesn't appear in the TOC or description. I'm asking Lazeez to look into it for me. I may have to resubmit the document to fix it.
Anyway, there is a second chapter but for now, you can only find it by scrolling through to the bottom of the first.
Sorry about that.

Well lucky me, I got to spend a day, night, and another day in the hospital. This is probably the last time I will ever donate marrow. If you haven't had the pleasure it is a literal pain in the ass!
Naturally, while I was laid up I got to thinking and wouldn't you know it--another story popped into my head! I spent a minute jotting down all my ideas and worked through a prequel and first chapter. I am submitting it now but it probably won't post until the morning.
I'm interested to see what y'all think of it so far. Let me know. The Title is 'Deja Vu'
Regards,
Rotty
Hunh. Sounds like a good title for a chapter.
I have to apologize in advance for the lull you might (most likely will) experience in my submissions. I'm having a little hiccup in my health. Nothing dramatic or worthy of thoughts and prayers. I'll be back at it in less than a week or so. I promise.
Signing out for now.
Cheers,
Rottyboy
