Hello, my lovelies! Here's some weekend reading for you. New chapters up for On the Fence, Phantom Heat, and Silver Bell Shifter. At the time I'm writing this, Chapter 13 of Sacrifice and Reward hasn't posted, but it's been submitted, so it shouldn't be long until it is. And remember, you can find all of my books over on Bookapy if you don't want to wait for new chapters to come out. As always, I appreciate your support so very much. :)

Hello, my lovelies!
I strongly urge readers to research historical topics/issues/subjects before attempting to point out that an author is "wrong" about something. Many authors of historical fiction (myself included) have done extensive research so that their books are as accurate as possible. I've spent countless hours researching even such tiny details such as when zippers were first used on clothing or when pockets as we know them today were first put on clothing.
Many people do not realize that electricity was widely used in many cities and larger towns by 1890, some even prior to that. More affluent farmers and people in rural areas could have electricity if they had the financial means to wire their home or business and use a windmill-like system. Flush toilets were also becoming commonplace, especially if your water table was sufficient, and telephone services were also in operation. Some of the larger hotels even had payphones. Granted, not everyone could afford these luxuries, but they did exist and were used by many!
Winton cars and electric cars were around in the 1890s. Also, women in the Western US had much more freedom than many people realize and many were often employed outside of the home and owned businesses outside of brothels or saloons. There are many myths about some of these issues I've just listed, and sadly, we're taught a lot of inaccuracies in school history courses.
So I respectfully ask that before you give in to the need to "correct" an author on something, please do your own research before accusing a writer of inaccuracy. And make sure to use reputable sources like major historical societies and university resources when you can. Many of them are free and easily accessible online.
Thank you to all of my wonderful readers who continue to support me. I appreciate each and every one of you.
