"Lost & Found" is three chapters away from completion on SOL (with today's chapter still to be posted at the time of writing). I just wanted to thank everyone who's been following the story over the past couple of weeks.
Given how long I've been "away" from SOL, it's really encouraging to see the story make it onto the "Top downloads" for serials page (even if it is quite low down on the list).
As of right now, "Lost & Found" is my 6th most-read story on the site and it will almost certainly move up to 5th by this time on Wednesday/Thursday when it's completed. In terms of score, it sits 4th. I know there are some people who only vote once the story is complete, so who knows if will move from that spot or not? I guess we'll see.
So, again, thank you to everyone who's read the story. I really do appreciate it and I hope you've enjoyed it.
As to what's next: "The Lies We Lead" will start posting hopefully by the end of the week. It's 22 chapters and a prologue long, so will take about three weeks to post. Its sequel "The Truths We Live" should, therefore, start posting towards the end of June. Hopefully, both will do just as well, and you'll enjoy them too.
I've begun posting "Lost & Found" on SOL. It's already available in full on Bookapy and another well-known ebook platform.
"Lost & Found" was originally written for Ruthie's Club - a subscription based, illustrated story website. The Bookapy book contains the illustrations produced for the story.
After its exclusive period at Ruthie's the book was picked by Phaze, who held the publishing rights until their demise during the Global Pandemic.
The first chapter is on SOL right now and the second was marked for "processing" last I checked. The rest of the 14 chapters are already submitted for posting at a rate of one a day.
I've also submitted three other books so far to Bookapy - The Big Four Ohhh!, which is already on SOL, and "The Lies we Lead" and its sequel "The Truths We Live". Both of these have been exclusive to the rain forest retailer up to now, but once "Lost & Found" has finished posting, I'll set both of these up to post chapter by chapter in sequence.
I'll be submitting more books to Bookapy over the next few weeks, some of which are already on SOL, some of which will make their way here in due course.
The Bookapy copies are all my most recent edits and any existing SOL stories I post there will, of course, but updated to match.
It's been quite a while since I posted an update here on SOL, and even longer since I posted a story. I still log in to read what others are posting and to check my story stats every now and then.
I've had a few queries over that period from readers too, which I thank you for. I've not been great at answering them though, I'm afraid. Apologies for that.
Questions I've been asked are usually along the lines of "When's book three of the Paul Robertson story coming out". The answer has been and remains, "I don't know."
I've run into a roadblock with the story and effectively stopped working on it while I work on other projects. I will come back to it and I will finish it, but we're possibly talking GRR Martin timescales. It'll be ready when it's ready and not before.
If you want more details on what I'm working on, the best place to keep tabs on me isn't here, but either at my own website - marcnobbs.co.uk - or on Facebook. Links are on my author page.
Cheers, M.
