Just a quick note to say that the last chapter (Ch13) of 'At The Woodchopper's Ball' (Bk1) has been submitted, and will no doubt show-up shortly.
The good news is that I've just finished typing the final words of ATWB, Book One, bringing the last chapter to a close. Of course, the dedicated guys who help refine the manuscript will now have the (unenviable) task of transforming my error-riddled draft into something worth reading. Foremost among them is Leomentos. Without his invaluable assistance, this entire project would have been too embarrassingly awful to even think about.
All of this is to say that the last chapter will be posted within the next couple of days.
I've only just realised that I initially intended for Chapter 12 to serve as the final chapter in Book 1. Looking back on it, that seems pretty laughable now, what with me not being entirely sure I won't end up writing a Chapter 14 as well.
The good news is that I am able to have stints of uninterrupted writing, and I'm making consistent progress. So, regardless of whether we ultimately end up with 13 or 14 chapters, things are moving forward steadily.
I finally managed to organise myself long enough to get Chapter 12 done. This has been posted and should appear on the site in due course.
Please accept this statement with a dose of justified skepticism. Up to this point, my predictions regarding the time required to reach various milestones in the narrative have been wide of the mark. However, I think finishing Book 1 will require only one further chapter.
Ultimately I'm in no position to give an estimate about when this final chapter (of Book 1) will be done. Life is still a bit demanding but at least I've picked up the proverbial pen and paper again.

I owe you an apology. It's been some time since I last updated and for that, I sincerely apologise. Over the past several months life has thrown a series of unexpected events my way. This has necessitated something of a game of musical houses.
There has been a lot of emptying, moving, getting places ready to put on the market, buying and selling of homes, etc. etc. It's time-consuming and not much fun.
Things should be getting a little better in the coming weeks. I hope to be able to get back to writing and with luck, finishing the last chapter.
