So, once upon a time, there was a guy named Jim who was writing porn. He was unsure of himself, and frightened of writing under his real name, so he created a pen name of "Fillmore".
Jim danced and sang, safe and sound behind his pen name, for a lot of years.
But then...
Duh Duuuuuh DUUUUUUUUUUUH!
Some evil sumbitch stole Jim's story "Oil of Roses" and was selling it on Amazon!
One of 'Fillmore's readers spotted the pirated story and told 'Fillmore' about it.
This really pissed Jim/'Fillmore' off and he filed an infringement claim with Amazon. But since he was only identified at SOL as 'Fillmore', it would be Much Harder for Amazon to find in his favor. So, Jim changed his pen name to his real name.
And Amazon found in favor of Jim. There was much rejoicing!
After all those years of writing porn as 'Fillmore', Jim had grown more comfortable with being known as a porn producer, and he decided to keep his real name on his account, and not hide behind a pen name anymore.
