I was hassled by a real author (FortySixtyFour) to write something for a while. And I mean a while. So I did: Taking The Class is the result of months of being hassled and a much, much shorter amount of time actually writing. I attribute all of the techniques that I employed in the course of this writing to Beating Off Bob's Guide to Writing Really Bad Erotica, which I have previously reviewed.
I started posting it to RoyalRoad incrementally because it seemed like a good idea at the time.
But then I woke up one day and Taking The Class was banned.
I opened a support ticket. "Why is this banned?" I asked. A story about a sentient treasure chest in a fantasy world which graphically rapes and mind controls girls (with inlined pornographic art) is fine, but TTC is not?
It turns out that TTC has too much implication of sex to be posted on RoyalRoad.
That's right.
This is a story which was banned not for outright degeneracy or questionable morality (which it overflows with), but for implying too heavily that sex may occur.
