At long last! Chapter 28 has now been submitted for posting. My deepest apologies to all the faithful readers of 'Blazing Star' for the excessive delays in submitting this chapter. Real life can be a bugger at times. Things are smoothing out and I have some time to continue with the story. It has not been forgotten.
For those of you that have not read it in the last couple of years, all the chapters have had some minor changes and improvements right back to Chapter 1. I have had many queries as to my health and intentions regarding this novel and have tried to respond as well as I could. Similarly, I have had a lot of discussion with many readers concerning the time taken to write this novel. Keep in mind, I started writing this way back in 2010. Each chapter has been edited, revised and posted many times, some up to ten times, I believe. I do not use AI or any editors so there may still be the odd error in the postings. Spelling is generally American or Canadian English.
For those of you still curious, I am still fairly healthy, seventy-eight years old and a Canadian male now married and living in the Philippines. Life here can be very interesting, but I don't think I will write about that!
Anyway.... enough about that.
I have had a couple of ideas about other Novels/Stories and may post some of them for your critiques and suggestions.

Whew. I have submitted Chapter 27, at long last, for your approval and enjoyment. I must confess, the last few months of real life have been very trying here and have been partially responsible for the lack of new chapters of Blazing Star. I have started on Chapter 28 and should have it available within a week, but please, don't hold me to that. I apologize to all those readers who have missed their Blazing Star Fix! Thank you all for your concerns and well wishes. Oh, I am also re-posting all chapters from the beginning as they have some small errors that have bugged me, and others, for a while. Nothing that would alter the story, but it is just more 'polishing'. Once again, comments and suggestions are welcome! Thanks!
To all those who have patiently and otherwise awaited future chapters, I have some news. Life has been strange here. We have suffered through almost a direct hit from a category 5 tropical Typhoon and are still recovering from it. We were somewhat north of the worst of it, but still without power for over 3 weeks. Water was iffy but fortunately the local supply was enough to sustain us. Damage to buildings and structures will take many months to repair. Personally, my wife and I survived relatively unscathed, but continue to suffer the financial costs of the new situation here. Here, btw, is Talisay, Cebu, Philippines.
Blazing Star, the novel, is still very much part of my future, and I have had some time to work on the next two chapters. Research has been necessary, and with the, as still unresolved Internet issues, has taken considerable time. I know you readers want a fairly polished story, so I do not intend to rush just for the sake of posting something. Yes, I am slow to post. I thank those readers who have messaged me asking about the status of Blazing Star and I will again state that I will be continuing to write and will attempt to be a bit more frequent, ;-) , but sometimes other events in my life will take precedence. Some, I have no control over!

Chapter 26 of Blazing Star is being posted. I regret the length of time between recent postings, but there have been events beyond my control that have contributed to this delay. I DO INTEND to continue this story and will attempt to speed up the process. Once again, comments are welcome! They all help me to write a better story to make your reading enjoyment that much better.
