Afterglow New Interlude: The Stillness After

Posted at

Okay. I lied.

Yesterday I said The Desert Yes was the penultimate chapter of Afterglow. But technically, this isn’t a chapter. It’s an interlude. Which means I didn’t lie—I just… took creative liberties. Like Coco with boundaries.

Before the final chapter, there had to be this.

The Stillness After isn’t about sex. It’s about what happens when the adrenaline wears off. When the storms stop. When you wake up at 4 a.m. with your shoes on and your body halfway out the door.

It’s the quietest installment in the series—and maybe the most intimate. No stage lights. No firelight. Just a kitchen. A mug of tea. A woman learning how to stay. A man choosing to hold still.

This is the inhale before the ending.

Just Right Gets Rewritten: The Goldilocks Hypothesis

You remember the story, right? Blonde girl. Three bears. Some porridge, a nap, a startled dash out the front door.

But what if that wasn’t the whole truth?

In The Goldilocks Hypothesis, Goldilocks isn’t some lost little girl—she’s a curious, clever woman with a hunger that can’t be satisfied by oatmeal alone. And the three “bears”? Let’s just say they come in different shapes, sizes, and temperaments… and she’s determined to find the one that feels just right—or maybe all of them.

This grown-up reimagining of the classic fable blends humor, heat, and intellectual spark into a modern fairytale that’s anything but tame.

You’ll never look at a cottage in the woods the same way again.

New Afterglow Chapter: The Desert Yes

We’ve nearly reached the end.

In this penultimate chapter of Afterglow, Ginger and Coco step into the quiet vastness of the Sahara—and something settles. After ten months of wild nights, close calls, and almost-goodbyes, they find themselves alone under the stars, surrounded by silence and heat, with nowhere left to run.

What unfolds in the tent isn’t just sex—it’s a surrender. Languid, tender, and reverent. Coco softens, not just in her body, but in her voice, her gaze, her willingness to stay. For the first time, the woman who’s always kept one foot out the door lets herself be held—and holds back.

There’s heat, yes. Sweat, breath, bare skin pressed close. But there’s also stillness. Clarity. A whispered “you’re mine” that lands not as possession, but as belonging.

This is the chapter where trust becomes touchstone. Where desire deepens into something quieter, richer, and more enduring.

Mel Trades Stories... For Fire

In The Locket and the Fire, Mel hits a street market looking for spice, flirtation, and maybe a little trouble. What she finds is a silver locket and a vendor who won’t take money—only stories.

Mel delivers: a rooftop hookup, a barroom betrayal, a carousel climax under police lights. But when the final tale unlocks a family secret, the stakes turn personal.

This one’s about lust, legacy, and the heat we carry from the women who came before us.

Now live. Come for the chaos. Stay for the burn.

P.S. Check out all the previous Mel stories if you don't know our heroine. Short, punchy, dialog driven.

Afterglow Chapter 10: Rio after dark

Ten months after that alley, Ginger and Coco hit Rio like a match to dry tinder—and Carnival doesn’t disappoint.

Chapter 10 of Afterglow brings the heat, the glitter, and the chaos as our lovers plunge into the pulsing heart of Carnival. Sequins, cachaça, skin, sweat—Rio is a riot of sensation, and Coco is right at home in it. But when a masked stranger offers more than just temptation, it’s not jealousy that flares—it’s fear. Not of losing her to someone else. But of losing her to herself. Again.

This chapter isn’t just about sex in the shadows of samba drums (though you’ll get that, too—urgent, and unforgettable). It’s about that razor edge between freedom and commitment. About asking: when you’re used to slipping away, what does it mean to stay?

The glitter won’t last—but something else might.
