I thought I would fill in some of the gaps, especially those about Alison before the fateful meeting in the restaurant. Even as I write about her, I am still not sure she is a nice person. However, I am convinced she has always loved him.
Most of this story will be written from Alison's perspective, but not all. It will help you follow the timeline if you have read previously read 'Alison Found,' and the first part of Alison's lament. As I am attempting to fill in the gaps, do not be too surprised if the story jumps about a bit, as I prefer not to repeat too many chunks from the first part.
Yes it's true that this is not new. It is a re-write of the original version of 'The Rings'. It's a story I'm still proud of.
So why the re-write:
In hindsight, I'm willing to admit ithe original wasn't perfect. There were too many plot gaps, and I feel that the ending was telegraphed too early in the story. I had allowed the character of the wife to become too accommodating. Other characters were a bit 2 dimensional. So this new version is what I feel this story should have been. It's much longer than the original, (well over 17,000 additional words.) I've attempted to close a few of the plot holes where possible. I'm going to leave the original version up so you can compare them (should you be interested.)

I've submitted a new story. I struggled to classify the tale. Is it a romance? Yet there is a hint of cheating. I've settled on calling it a Dark Romance. It's fairly long, as least for me it is.
The Walker Colt - Billy's tale.
This is the first part of a series of tales I want to write centered around the pistol. Each tale will be a stand-alone piece with a common theme. As this is the first part, I have included a fair amount of backstory, so please live with it. I've no schedule for the later parts, they will be written as the muse takes me.
