Hi Readers-
I made a few fixes to the latest posted Chapters of American Teen (thanks to some eagle-eyed readers) (Not) Coincidentally, these errors were last-minute changes I added to the story after my editors had already gone through those sections. So, hopefully, lesson learned (at least I hope I have, lol).
Thanks for your forbearance and I hope you are all still enjoying American Teen

Hello Readers-
Chapters 23 and 24 of American Teen are in the queue and should be up tomorrow morning at the usual time.
Just a quick warning: Chapter 23 has some racial slurs/language that may possibly offend some readers. Please keep in mind that I do not glorify the use of this language. The words used are a product of the time and of the circumstances and meant to show the great social chasm that existed in race relations of that time (and to an extent, still exists today).
Despite this, I hope readers will enjoy these chapters and will continue to provide me with feedback.
Thanks again!
Aaron
Hello Readers-
I've just added the next two chapters to the queue to be posted tomorrow. I am delighted to say that Old Rotorhead has volunteered to add his talents to American Teen and I have happily accepted. He has already helped to improve the story and to disabuse me of some of my annoying grammatical tendencies, lol. Welcome aboard, Old Rotorhead!
Also, I feel I should warn readers. Chapter 21 contains racial slurs that most people will find offensive. As I've stated in previous blog entries, I do not use such language to glorify it. I use it to show how bigotted some folks are at the time of my story (and sadly, still today).
Aside from racial language, there are also racial stereotypes used in such a way to denigrate Tommy's character (by association). Again, I thoroughly denounce such concepts as baseless. Please bear with this chapter. I hope you'll be satisfied with the outcome.
Thanks again to everyone for your continued feedback and support!

I want to thank the reader who pointed out to me that the U.S. Army has "medics," as opposed to "corpsmen" (who serve in the Navy or with the Marines). I made the fix in Chapter 5 and will have to search for future chapters to see if I have to fix other references.
There are a few minor typos and other mistakes that other readers have pointed out and I appreciate them taking the time to let me know. I will fix them when I get a chance.
Thanks to everyone for the great feedback and interest in American Teen.

For some reason, the updated fix for Chapters 18-20 glitched (or I made a boo-boo somehow) and combined the three chapters into Chapter 18 and then repeated the other chapters as they should have appeared. I resubmitted just Chapter 18 and hopefully, that will fix the problem.
Thanks for bearing with this and special thanks to the observant reader who pointed it out to me.
Aaron
