Finally came up with enough time to put together another of Katie's true adventures.
I haven't written anything for a while. I have a live long friend that has been diagnosed with cancer and only has a very few months to live. Watching her go down hill so quickly has taken a lot of drive out of me and a lot of pleasure out of life. As soon as I can get my feet planted on solid ground, I'll be back with some more stories.

I have about a dozen stories unfinished on my computer, but one evening I was sitting on the deck and heard a sound way off in the distance. That sound triggered this story, I sat at the computer and it seemed to flow so quickly. I had the first draft down in just a few hours.
