I recently sent a POLITE message listing a couple of concerns, and yes a complaint, to Pars001. This is the garbage I got back. It is NOT what I expected from someone who is articulate.

Hello. I'm Pars' agent, and friend. How about you stop being an ungrateful bitch? You are getting millions of words for free, and you have the fucking nerve to bitch and complain like this? Scumbags like you are the fucking reason why authors like Pars get discouraged. I don't know if I can block you from reading his stories, but, I'm sure gonna' look into it, because you don't deserve the privilege. And the same with contacting him. Rest assured, I'll be deleting this message, as he hasn't seen it yet. Fucking people, I swear to God, you suck.

This is a repost of Multitasking with a different heading.
I have a complaint/gripe/bitch/whine.
Authors, the majority are pretty good seem to multitask too much, for me any way.
An author who has 50+ stories entered here, 16 of which are "in progress" and two of those are "incomplete/abandoned".
Just think of the reader satisfaction he would actually spend time FINISHING a story before heading off on a tangent.
A couple of the stories were actually started 9 YEARS ago and are still active and being added to. If he would actually finish one of the stories that are hanging fire, he would probably finish more stories in the long run.
Don't get me wrong, he's good. The stories are good. I personally don't feel like investing YEARS of my life waiting on him to actually finishing a story.
The same goes for all the other prolific writers out there who feel that having numerous stories out there without being complete shows talent. To me it just shows the attention span of a chipmunk on crack. Finish the frickin' story. Get the feedback and correct as necessary.
Just sayin'
That's my story and I'm stickin' to it. Oh, Ihave a couple of stories here, not as good as a lot of others, but I refuse to post one with out it being complete.
I recently finished a re-read of "Island Mine". I realize that Refusenik has only published three stories here but they have ALL been quality.
He is listed as inactive since 2019. A loss for us all. If anyone knows if he is published elsewhere, I would like to follow.
If not, treat yourself to some fine writing.
I have a few pet peeves and one of them is incomplete/inactive. After writing a multi chapter story that is rolling along nicely then quitting is disappointing. It also tends to cause this reader to give you a 1 or 2 for a score. If you can't complete a story, don't expect to be rewarded for it.
I recommend you pull the story from the site until you feel up to finishing it or better yet, don't post it until it's completed.
I have started to NOT even start a story unless it's completed.
I understand a lot of writers want feedback to continue a story but if they don't get what they want (maybe straight 10's) they quit. Hence the Incomplete/Inactive tag.
Again, I recommend not posting until it's complete.
just sayin'
Recently I ran across a story description that indicated new ideas were hard to come by. I can understand that but keep looking and write about what you know or about which you are passionate.
In Search of Quality
I am looking for a couple of authors who quit, probably in disgust, and are no longer posting.
The Senator, Jay Cantrell and Colt 45.
I am sure I forgot an author or two that I ejoyed or used to enjoy. Out of sight, out of Mind. that just sucks.
If anyone is in contact with these fine writers, perhaps they can contact me here via the mail option or respond to my blog, I'd REALLY like to know if they are publishing elswhere so I can once again start to enjoy them.
I have been on the recieving end of a few "flamers" but for the most part I ignore them as no talent assholes who are just wanna be's. They can't write so they think it's ok to tear down those who can.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not Hemingway but I do enjoy putting words on paper. If you don't like it, don't read it.
If you want to tear me down because you don't like what or how I write, you had DAMN SURE have stories published (here) and have the awards for excellence to back up your crap..If not, plan on being flamed in a blog that shows your ignorance to all.
I don't agree with "The Powers That Be" when they restrict an honest, non accusatory review because it's "negative" and they want to encourage mediocraty. If authors can't be critiqued in a constructive way, how the hell can they get better?
I haven't written anything recently because my muse died a few years ago and I just can't get back on that horse again (yet).
That's my bitch and my story and I'm stickin' to it.
Again, if anyone knows how to contact those authors I mentioned please let me know.
