The Chronicles of Tim Brandton is a rewrite and significant expansion of the 10-22 year old Tim, the Teenage MC.
Some details changed, but it is essentially the same story as the original. After spending so much time on the later chapters - which were written for the original story - I wanted to update the beginning so the quality matched the later chapters. I simply couldn't read the first ten parts without cringing.
Love's Shepherd covers 8th and 9th grade and is over 350K words. The same timespan covered in the original story is only 114K words. Chapters 4-10 & 13 are a rehash of the original, but the rest of the 24 chapters are all new.
The second book, Love's Masters (title not final), will be less of an expansion, covering the summer and 10th grade. Only 5 chapters are totally new, but there's additional material added scattered throughout the original material.
Very little was added to books 3-4 (11th & 12th grades), but the last quarter of the 5th book picks up where the original story stopped. If you have recently read Tim, the Teenage MC, you could skip books 3&4 as they are basically the same events, just better written.
The end of book 5 all the way through book 9 is all new material and could, for the most part, be used as the ending for the original.
I decided to post the entire first book of The Chronicles of Tim Brandton Love's Shepherd (350K words across 24 chapters) as quickly as final proofing is completed on each chapter.
I expect several chapters will be posted per day - hopefully, faster than people have time to read them.
FYI, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is just over 250K words.
