If there's anyone out there with a reasonably fluent knowledge of the child protective services/social services systems (in any state, I suspect the questions I have will be pretty universal), I'd appreciate it if you could send along a quick e-mail. I've got a small reality-checking question for someone, and I don't have the background knowledge I need to do the digging for it on my own.
