I know a few of you still watch to see if there will be new chapters of Round Two. I don't know why you do so after five years, but I occasionally get messages from you.

I can't promise anything; all the reasons I stopped are still there, but I have started an actual edit of what I've already written. I expect to upload the revised editions soon, so the posted work isn't of such low quality. However, this may get me back in the groove of writing again.

For those that have asked, I have two major hurdles. First, my day job fluctuates randomly between autopilot and stroke-inducing levels of work, so many hobbies or routines are inevitably interrupted. Second, I need to step back and do some actual planning for the story. I can probably go another dozen chapters or so by the seat of my pants, but I'm just going to be digging a bigger and bigger hole for myself. I've already introduced plot holes and shot myself in the foot in only a few chapters, so I need a basic floorplan before I feel like I can reasonably continue.

Anyways, just an update for whoever is listening.

A big thank you to everyone who has been reading "Round Two;" especially to those who have sent me their support. With chapter 6, your votes have pushed me over a personal milestone: a 7+ score.

Chapter 7 is on its way and should bring us closer to where I want to be before I can begin the real story.

Thank you again,

Round Two

You probably already know this, but I started posting my first story this week. I'm not sure what caused me to make that choice, but its done and I'll see it through.

The story started as prep-work for NaNoWriMo, getting into a high-word-count groove as it were. As such, it has minimal editing (just a re-read or two). I've already found many items that I'd like to change, but the other hurdle of Nano is no editing, so it will stand as is. I am planning to revisit the story with a major edit or re-write sometime in the future, so please don't send me spelling or grammar edits, I'm just deleting them.

---

Being an author has opened my eyes a bit. I've always heard some griping from other authors, but I figured it just came with the territory. Good lord how wrong I was. For such a crappy story, I've already received an average of 50 messages per chapter. About 70% of those are messages of thanks, letting me know they enjoyed the story, or wondering when the next chapter will release. Those are great. About 20% are just correction alerts. I understand these too, but they get deleted immediately--I haven't asked for help and I'm not going to spend the time making the corrections.

By far the worst is the last 10%. Jesus christ guys, calm the fuck down. These are messages along the lines of "this is how your story is wrong" or "clearly you meant to say XXXX". No. I didn't. I can only imagine how bad it was before Lazeez turned off anonymous messages. I'm only 2k words in and I'm, already considering turning off email. I didn't ask you to be an editor so don't elect yourself.

In short, those of you who sent your thanks or questions, I appreciate it.

The rest of you should save your keystrokes.
