Legion is in its infancy, but the response has already been fairly positive. I'm not the world's fastest writer, but I can assure you, gentle reader, that I have the entire story planned out and am committed to seeing it through. It should be a pretty damn good ride, if I can get it written the way it is in my head.
I've obtained the services of an editor, and with his excellent direction, I have rewritten the prologue and Chapter 1. Prologue was just submitted, and Chapter 1 is going through a final edit as we speak. I'm starting in on Chapter 2, and hope to get it posted by the weekend.
Comments, criticisms, and general feedback are always welcome.
Just looked at the page... 4 months since Addiction 2 went up. Jeebus. In that time, real life has bitch-slapped all my spare time into oblivion. I'm getting the urge, though, and I hope to begin work on this again. Love Magic is (hopefully) going to continue at roughly the same time. That one's easy, since it's all true. :) In any case, it's my sincere hope we'll be seeing more Addiction soon.
Another short chapter is just about done... does anyone have a preference (or helpful insight) into the debate between more frequent short chapters or longer stretches between more lengthy ones? I could just hang onto this and add the next segment of the story into it, but it would take a few more days... Just something I'm tossing around as I get used to this process.
Amidst the series of emails I received for "Yella", all of which seemed to take a slightly different approach to a common location, which was basically a critical assessment of my ability to generate a localized vacuum, I received a particularly helpful suggestion, pointing out that there are a few resources out there for aspiring writers (of which I am one, as you can tell by this incredibly impressive run-on sentence).

This is a site set up for authors, by authors. In my browsings, I've found quite a few names that are very recognizable to anyone who's perused the offerings on this site. The site used to be quite active, but it seems it's stagnated. Even so, there is a ton of good information there, and it'd be nice to get it revitalized. So, if you're interested, head on over, check it out, sign up, write something offensive, and let's get this pot stirred already!
So... I started a new story yesterday, and found to my surprise that I had enough time to post two (short) chapters. Initial feedback has been pretty good, and I'm pretty happy with the story so far. However...
Being the shallow, depraved being that I am, I couldn't help but notice that my TPA score was lower than it should have been.
Apparently some poor misbegotten soul decided that my story was a 4.5.5.
Now, then... I could see the Plot and Appeal scores being entirely subjective... but Technical? A 4? Really? Can I use more sequentially unnecessary question marks?
I mean... A four implies that it's less than half of "well-written". I'd imagine a four would somewhat resemble something generated by an ADD-Afflicted 8 year old in his first typing class, sitting next to the cute little girl with the freckles that makes his pants feel a little funny in the front, attempting to win the "speed award" for that week.

Hope you're all enjoying 'Addiction' so far. It's still very much in an infancy stage, but I do have the storyline mostly mapped out in my head. Still trying to choose Ending A, B, or C, but all of them will work. And I'll burn that bridge when I get there.
