I'm looking for information on pre Revolutionary America for a story I'm writing.

Basically my character is in America, near an area with a massive gold deposite and with the benefit of hindsight, is able to cash in before everyone else realizes what's going on. What I want to know, is how could he go about purchasing land either in England or when in America itself so that he could build up a house to live in while mining Gold.

I like how I get messaged, out of the blue with no fucking context, sorry not for me. Then when I message back, I get ignored, brilliant!

NNPDAD is going through my work and helping me edit a lot of it, I've let him off his leash and he's tearing through it like the dog did with my homework. I hope this improves my writing, I write it, craft the story and he helps polish the chrome, making it nice and shiny.
