I've been writing

Posted at

Thanks, everybody for the messages you sent. They were beautiful and encouraging.

I just wanted to let you know I have been writing. I have a cellphone that I found, and I use it to write. It's my one ray of sunshine in this bleak life. It keeps me sane.

Trouble is, the thing slows down when a file gets too long, too many words. I'm not sure why, but halfway through chapter 2, it became intolerable. Every letter I typed took like 15 seconds to show up on screen. And forget about scrolling through the damn thing and editing. There's no spellcheck, either.

But I figured out how to select entire sections and copy them to the clipboard. So I took chapter 2 out of the document and pasted it into a new one. So now it's running tolerably again.

My biggest fear is that my mom finds this phone. It's got a password, so she'd have to try 10,000 possibilities to try to crack it. That's what I did. Luckily, the password was 1312, so I didn't have to go through all 10,000 combinations. I've since changed it to a high enough number that she'd give up eventually. I hope. But she'd confiscate it either way. I have it stashed in my yard, tied up in a plastic bag with the charger, so it doesn't get wet.

Is it bad that I stole somebody's charger from a coffee shop? It was just sitting there, plugged into the wall. Nobody was around so I took it. It worked with this phone. So now I can charge this thing when the battery dies. It's quite the ordeal. But it's all I have. I found the phone on the bus. It was just sitting there on the seat. I imagine maybe somebody got a new phone and just left this one for somebody to find. Or maybe somebody stole it, and then decided it was a crap phone and tossed it away. Maybe it just fell out of somebody's pocket. But I don't think so. It's got no phone service. It's not online, or whatever you call it. So I think somebody just left it there.

Anyway, I wish I'd known about that copy and paste thing sooner. The writing is much smoother now. I've never had a cellphone, so I'm figuring out all this stuff as I go. You can't even imagine how happy I was to learn about the library wifi!

Anyway, thanks again for your comments. They were lovely.

Well, it happened...

My mom caught me. Well, not in the act, but she found one of my stories on dad's computer. She went to type up a letter and found it in the recent files list. The new Jordyn story.

Suffice it to say she was pretty pissed. She screamed at me for an hour. That's okay. I've been screamed at before. I managed to convince her that it wasn't my writing, that I was just editing it for a friend. She believed that, eventually. But she still gave me shit for reading smut.

The biggest problem is, she deleted it. All the work I did is gone now. She's also grounded me from using their computer. So I won't be able to do any writing for a while. I'm updating this blog from a computer at the library.

I'm going to have to move out or something. I can't stand it here any more. I feel like a prisoner in my own home. My every move is being watched now. I can't even get a phone call without getting interrogated for half an hour about it.

Anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know what's going on. I got a couple emails asking when the next story is due. So that's the answer. It's due whenever I can find about 20 hours or so of free time on a computer. Who knows when that will be.

Thanks for writing, everyone. It means more than you know right now.

New Story in the Works

Well, the next Jordyn McMaster story is in the works. The first three have been hits. I'm glad you all liked them, and I'm grateful for the encouraging emails I've gotten.

The next story is tricky, however. I already know it's not going to be the most popular episode in Jordyn's series. She's going to meet two boys who aren't the most sexy guys around. I already know it's going to annoy many people who just want her fucking every hot guy she encounters. But that's not how her story goes. So what do I do?

Do I skip the "boring" parts and just post stories that are more exciting? Or do I tell the truth and hope that people like the character of Jordyn herself enough to enjoy the story anyway? I mean, it's not going to be a bad story. It just may not be as sexy as others. In fact, it will probably be more comical than anything as Jordyn struggles to handle these two young idiots. But there will be a certain group out there who won't like it.

I guess, I'm sort of thinking out loud. I already know I'm going to write it. I suppose I'm just looking for feedback from fans of Jordyn. Are you as interested in hearing about her misadventures as you are her hot, sexy adventures?

One thing's for sure, though. The story after this next one will take place after the events of the original Ryan story. She's no longer a virgin after that, and things will definitely be more interesting.

Story Scoring

Dear SOL readers, the following is what a story of score 1 looks like:

dfsdf sdf sdvcv u d sjc cx sco js scx sdcsdcokdc

Now here's what a 2 looks like:

dfsdj vdfgjkrv dick sdfjsd cunt sdfsd balls fdshfcsd cs ass fsdfu!!!

It goes up from there, into story, characters, plot, tension, drama, and all the things we love to read.

I understand my story might not appeal to everyone, but to vote it a 1 when it's superior in quality to the bunch of gibberish sampled above--you're just being a dick.

I don't know. Maybe you've got a competing story on the Top stories and you do that to every story that's not yours, just to game the system. Or maybe you were all mad because the main character didn't get raped like you wanted her to. I don't know, but you should probably just not read at all if you're sensibilities are so easily traumatized.

Most of the votes were 8's and 9's, and there were quite a few 10s. I don't think it deserves a 10, really. It's not flawless. I'm flattered some of you enjoyed it so much, though. But it also doesn't deserve the few 1's it got.

I understand the site moderators have the scores weighted to account for trolls, though. That's a good thing. Trolls are usually too dumb to realize that their attacks are pointless, though. People voting so far off from the average score so frequently should have their votes blocked or ignored as abusing the system. If everyone's voting a story as crap, then a 1 or 2 is justified. But if it's getting good scores and somebody throws down a 1--ghost 'em.

I'm also told this was discussed extensively in the past. But I wasn't around. This is just my opinion. Thanks again for the great feedback. Have a great weekend.

Story Three is Done!

Posted at Updated:

I'm done my third story! 42 pages! This one's even more intense than the first two. I'm very happy with it. It's even got action and excitement, along with a lot of super hot sex! But it's very emotional, and it has a bittersweet ending. Hope you like it.

I've sent it to a volunteer editor, though, first. I always seem to have a bunch of typos that I completely missed. So it should be up on SOL possibly tomorrow, or the next day, depending how long the editing takes. And I know people give low scores for typos on this site. Plus it kind of kills the sexy trance you're in when you find a typo. Yuck. So I want it to be perfect.

Thanks in advance for your feedback. I hope you've enjoyed my other stories. Have a great weekend.
