The legends of Ireland are a rich source dipped into for oral and written story since peoples started to live in Ireland, many adapted from the settlers and invaders in the form of Britons, Celts, Norsemen, Normans and Scots. Most of these will be contemporary stories, fantasies, bringing some of these legends to life in contemporary situations and modern life.
