Halloween Writing Contest 2025
Club Valhalla during Halloween offers a unique chance for a soon-to-be-married couple to visit their club. Until now, the mysterious private club had opened its doors to the rich and famous. Aoife and Saoirse are the lucky winners of the golden ticket. Lots of questions remain: Why a couple that’s getting married? What’s the Halloween-connection? Why them? The sign outside the club, lit by a flickering bulb, said: ‘ADMISSION FREE, you'll pay to get out’. Regrettably, the warning went unheeded.

Fleur is a pediatric oncology nurse, seen by her colleagues as an eccentric traditionalist devoted to her faith. But as the pressures of an understaffed ward mount, her private, righteous convictions take a dark turn. Note to Readers: This short story delves into dark psychological and religious themes, including acts of violence and moral distortion. Please read with care.

A Swarm Cycle Story

Jutta and Koen’s relentless pressure forces her to confront the ghosts of her past, the sights, sounds and smells that haunt her.

A Dutch Master Story
At 63, my wife twisted my quiet life upside down, inside out. She wanted to rekindle the fire and re-live of the kinky days when we just got married, centuries ago. If your marriage has been through darkness and survived, it is difficult to suddenly turn on the Dom-switch. Finding that restart button was not as easy. I knew I was in for a hell of a ride. But nothing in my wildest imagination could prepare me for what was about to happen.

Halloween 2024
Try to envision yourself as an average person. When referring to “average,” use a capital A. Like everyone else. At a party, this glorious, gorgeous woman comes to you and seems to like you. A lot. New Year’s Eve leads to new beginnings. And you are on cloud nine. But appearances can be deceiving. It is possible that by the time you discover the truth, it could already be too late.
