In the not so distant future, the State makes sure people pay their debt. If not, your debt may be sold to another.
In and around 2030, the Global Economic Coalition was created to assist and advise State Governments. States took over employment offices and created 2 offices. The State Human Resources Dept. and The State Human Services Dept.
It’s the State’s Human Services Department's responsibility to make sure people remain debt free. And they can do it in only a week.
Current Responsible Party holds the key to success.
A husband is the CRP (Current Responsible Party) for his wife and children until a child reaches the age of 18. If anyone, from the head of house to the children commit a crime that is monetarily fined, it's the CRP who must pay the fine. If the CRP doesn't have enough credits, enough of their personal property and assets are confiscated and sold by the State run auction house. If after the assets and property are sold and there isn't enough to cover the fine, the remaining fine is recovered by the debt being sold. Crimes of violence are specific to an individual, and the CRP is not held responsible.
