A bio-weapon is released in a world wide war has killed off 70% of the world population and rendered most of the population sterile. A new world government and world order has arisen. The rarest commodity on the planet are fertile men. The majority of children conceived are female and many male children are born sterile as well. Social upheavals occur and many adjustments are needed. The continuation of the race is at extreme risk, but humanity and society evolves to meet these new challenges as every aspect of society changes.

This universe is about stories concerning people living in the suburbs of an older Australian city, or the area immediately around the city. While the city involved in a story may or may not be named it will be based on the large metropolitan city areas of Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, and Wagga Wagga.
A collection of stories about the lives and times of different people living in the section of New South Wales, Australia known as the Rivers Region. The area covers a number of local government areas within the mountains and plains areas loosely tagged as The Rivers Region. There's a cross section of interesting characters involved in different activities and adventures in the area. The stories are about the people and their interactions with others, action is a secondary aspect. They're written in the present tense so you live in the moment with the characters in the story.
This is a universe for anyone who wishes to write a solstice story and have it loosely linked with other solstice stories. Any story for which a solstice is a plot or key element is eligible for inclusion in this universe. Solstice may be the starting point, the ending point, or any other important aspect of the story.
The Collins definition of 'solstice' is: 'The summer solstice is the day of the year with the most hours of daylight, and the winter solstice is the day of the year with the fewest hours of daylight.'
