Shakespeare failed to provide me with a sequel to his sonnet "Venus & Adonis." No fault to him, of course. How could he know what desires lie in the darkness of such a twisted mind? I pondered Adonis' anger at her unwanted kisses and words of love, and decided to create a story that stemmed from that hatred.
