The “Growing Pains” universe is a set of stories that centres around the life of Andy Williams and all those who get to know him as he grows up.
The main stories will revolve around Andy, his sister Rhea, his mother Grace and his love interests Abi Kennedy, Sarah Bailey and Jasmine Phillips as well as his friends at College - Ray and Zoe - and his friends at University - Ezra, Katherine and Fiona. I deliberately reveal the stories in non-chronological order so the story unfolds how I want it to, but they should still work as standalone works of fiction
Rhea's life is turned upside down as the truth of her marauding and unfaithful partner is shockingly revealed. She has to decide what to do with her boyfriend as they face eviction, while she gets increasingly concerned about her brother and Zoe - a close family friend - is struggling to get pregnant. This is the prequel to Repentance.
Sixteen year-old Sarah is leading a double life, and escapes to London to meet with her boyfriend on the eve of her exam for a disastrous date with the manipulative Kevin. This is the second instalment in the “Growing Pains” series of stories.
This the sequel to Betrayal, Rhea continues to address the shocking behaviour of her partner as they struggle to pay the debts Simon has accumulated, resorting to an extreme money making scheme. Andy has a date with a beautiful young florist, and plots to help his friends with paying for their IVF treatment. Meanwhile, Simon's brother is released from prison. This is the third instalment in the “Growing Pains” series of stories.
This is the twenty chapter book that shows Andy's summer holidays and then as he adapts to College life. He meets the stripper Abi, he has a complex relationship with his classmate while his sister is intent on causing as much trouble as possible. This books shows Andy's sexual awakening and as Abi introduces him to a world he had not seen before. This book starts slow and has little sexual content for the first four chapters.
Grace and Sandy travel to London to find a living working in the massage parlours of Soho, but Grace soon finds love reluctantly in the arms of a punter while Sandy’s desperation leads to tragic consequences.
Abi pursues her acting dream but is taunted by her sister and takes revenge in the nastiest way possible, while her ex-boyfriend pleads for another chance and poor Alistair has a most embarrassing problem. (Please note the heavy Scottish language and accent throughout that may impact on readability for non-UK people)
This is the nine chapter book that shows Andy’s relationship with Sarah blossoming while Rhea still has problems with Nathan. Andy gets closer to Scarlet, Grace has a date or two and Abi has a revelation that changes everything. It is the sequel to New Pleasures

This is a short story.
Very short flash story about an unfaithful husband. For those following the Growing Pains Universe: It is also part of it and is set in 1998 and shows the unfaithfulness of Horace Wright, Alicia's husband. Alicia is a very close friend of Grace and when his adultery comes to light, Andy and Rhea are not unaffected by the eventsthat follow.
This story is set in rural Derbyshire and concerns Fiona Holmes, a young hedonistic nymphomaniac that Andy becomes embroiled with later in his life. Fiona meets Greg in the woods, and he is quite unprepared for her antics.
This is the erotic tale of a fun-loving eighteen year old, who has to rely on the support of her boyfriend when she is attacked, and how she blossoms with her new friend.
This is best enjoyed as part of the Growing Pains universe; if you are not reading that, then it will make no sense. This will be five short stories, posted as chapters that show Grace's life from 16 to 19 and precedes The Wooing of a London soubrette. New chapters will be posted at convenient points of the core stories.

Her affair with her boyfriend’s father offered her something she could not get previously, but this shows just how desperate for affection she had become.

This story is an additional tale of the “Growing Pains” universe; one of around 40 short flash stories designed to introduce characters and provide back story where required. Alice and Robert go on to meet Andy when he comes to University in the town ten years later.
Jack Fox gets embroiled with crazy young exhibitionist, Poppy, after his relationship with the stable Dannielle breaks down. He faces disapproval of his staid family if the antics of Poppy and himself come out. This is a short story in the Growing Pains Universe but will work as a standalone story
Paula tries to move on from Andy but her new boyfriend has nefarious intentions towards her and it is left to Emily to get even. This quite a dark, slow story.
This is a very short story for the readers of the Growing Pains Universe. It is an additional tale, one of around 40 short flash stories designed to introduce characters and provide back story where required. Not all of the characters will be familiar instantly, but it will all tie in at the end! This story takes place in June 1990 and describes the rape of barmaid, Helen Anne White. Although the rapist was not caught immediately, when he was it tore apart his family.
