Family Letters
Chapter 117

Dear brother-in-law,

Man did your letter inspire Willow. Although I'm not sure she'd say it was inspiring. After she read it she stormed out of the house muttering that you were forgetting that Marissa is your wife and that you have concubines and children who desperately miss you.

Don't take that wrong though. She does love you a lot, but she's grown to care for Marissa and the rest of your harem. To her, the most important thing for you to do would be to get home to them so you can see your children grow up. I know she spends a lot of time with Sage, your newest half-sister.

Oh, did you remember that Sage was fathered on Violet by your dad? I know Willow mentioned that long ago, but can't remember if you thought about it. Of course we also have your half-brother Piotr here and then I'm sure your father has additional children in the harem he is part of. I noticed you never write about them, even though they lived on Poseidonat. Willow does miss them, but the one letter she ever received from Rebecca was disappointing. I guess Rebecca noticed that you were uncomfortable with her lusts. Rebecca took it personally that you were unwilling to stand up to her about it and said that until you apologize she won't allow Willow to write to her parents. Your sister never said a thing because she didn't want to upset you.

Sorry about that, I seem to be writing out a bunch of secrets. Your sister is the type to tell me, and probably Violet about things, but she'd never mention her worries and concerns to you. I know she's hinted that in her mind your primary mission right now needs to be to return home to Marissa, but I guess I never really noted just how vital that is to her and I should have. Sure we have Louisa, who has been a godsend with her experience, wisdom and gentle nature. And we have the love of Violet and Bree who truly do fit the old axiom of truly, madly, deeply, when you try to describe that love. Even quiet Meiling and Katya as well as Larry have contributed so much to the health of our household. Without that we could never have brought in the others and made them feel welcomed.

But with all of that I think Willow is the glue that holds it all together. Bree loves me, I know that, but Bree would never have risked writing a letter to anyone had Willow not been here to inspire her. I know a lot of people who don't know much about Charging Rhinos look at Willow and me and think, "They must be the mascots." When they see the other nine tanks head out with us loitering behind I'm sure many only become more convinced that we are there to inspire rather than fight.
