Chapter 19: Sean's Triad

~~ Delta - Oct/02 - (Earth - April/2095) ~~

Kyle had asked Piper if she wanted to make it official since they had Nick handy.

She decided since she was pregnant, and she did not intend to leave in a hurry then today was as good a day as any.

Erving wailed that he didn’t have time to make cakes and received many kisses and hugs for his troubles. They all said that as long as he was cooking dinner for them, that was good enough.

They all decided since it was a weeknight, they would go home to celebrate their nuptials. They would organise some time-off in the following weeks.

Lee made several of them groan when she reminded them that they might be having their honeymoons at School. She told them she was sure that they would find opportunities to have fun and to spend some quality time together.

Several of them were amazed to see what Lee put away at dinner. “Damn Lee, are you trying to out-eat me?” Tyson said in wonderment.

Lee grinned, “Its Donny’s fault. She sped up Jackson’s gestation period, so I’ve got to eat so he can grow.”

Von looked at Lee and asked, “Lee, can I touch you?”

Lee nodded as she shovelled in another mouthful of food. Von placed her hand on her tummy. “Lee, how far along in normal weeks are you?” she queried.

“Almost six,” she replied.

“Alec, come and give me your opinion,” Von said. Alec dutifully placed his hand on Lee’s tummy.

“How long is a normal human gestation?” he asked.

“Here about 43 to 44 weeks. Her last pregnancy took her about 31 weeks,” Von said.

“We normally take about 24 to 25 weeks. The babies are small but correctly formed and grow fast in the first couple of years, to make up,” Donny volunteered.

Von did some quick calculations. “Lee, I believe you are already at the end of your first trimester,” Von volunteered, and Alec nodded in agreement.

“But she only changed me about four to five hours ago,” Lee said astounded.

“Well, I had better prepare you some high vitamin and mineral supplements as I think you’re going to need them. I suggest you eat the fattiest, sugary and high protein foods; Erving can think up for you.”

“I think you’ll make the twelve-week mark like Sparky, but I doubt it will be any longer. You may have to take it easy over the next six weeks, as you are going to get very large very quickly,” Von said grinning at her.

“Bloody hell, will it affect me feeding Helen?” Lee asked in concern.

“Well, it hasn’t so far, so no, I don’t think so. I’d probably suggest you start replacing more of Helen’s feeds to camla milk, as in six weeks she is going to have to share.”

“She is eleven weeks, and she is already very strong, grabs everything, rolls over and even sits with a little support. She is well developed, so I don’t think it will hurt her.”

Sean had Helen in his lap as he was feeding her, her dinner bottle. “Hear that Helen, daddy is going to have to feed you more often. You like daddy feeding you don’t you, sweetheart?” Sean was saying in a babyish voice.

They all had to smile at him; he was as soppy as when it came to Helen. She had started sleeping for six hours straight every night, so Lee and Sean ran their day around her. It gave them time for a nookie and then five-hour solid sleep. So, they were functioning fine.

Two, two-and-a-half-hour naps, one mid-morning and one late afternoon were becoming normal for Helen as well, and Von believed she would probably stick to this until she was two or three years of age.

Lee still fed her four times a day, and she had one bottle feed at dinner and one mid-morning. As far as Lee and Sean were concerned, she was a good baby, and they spent as much time with her as they could.

Debora’s kids were developing pretty much in line with Helen. The three kids loved being put on the playmat together, and the parents were damn sure the little buggers communicated as well.

Lee, Sean and Donny saw off their guests and retired to their room to get to know each other better. Helen was having some time with the other kids and being supervised by their staff.

Lee was going to get a nanny, but the staff scoffed at that idea, and they were always carting Helen off to be with the other kids. They knew Lee’s feed times and always contacted her to remind her if she got busy.

Two of the Prol wives that looked after the little kids when the others were working just assumed, they were the nannies. They would bring her back for her late evening feed if she weren’t collected beforehand.
