I hate vampire stories. Just imagine, a young man, Nick Gates, fighting off three deadly vampires to save the life of a cute young thing from a life after death; a living death, just because he's a wizard. As if a wizard would leave home without any magical accessories, except his trusty K-bar Marine knife handed down from his grandpa. It just is totally unbelievable. And I don't care if I am held in this cold dark chamber without a door for the next 100 years until I finish my penance ...
