A young man jumps to the rescue of a young lady in need of help. It appears to be a character trait, as he does it several times throughout the story.

For plot, I give this a 10. The development of the storyline was outstanding, as the author fills in much of the back story and fleshes out the characters well. He makes the story entirely believable in the process.

For technical score, I give this an 8 (A). In doing so, I am giving the author the benefit of the doubt in some instances due to some minor differences in English spelling and word usage there versus what we would see in the US. The usage and definition of to and too, however, are the same in each case, and there were a few misused versions. In addition, there were a few spots where it seems a word was left out or an extra word added by mistake. Very small mistakes, and they did not really detract from the story.

For appeal, I give it an A+ (9). It had a length I enjoy, some romance, drama, subterfuge, a main character with some good integrity, and many other things. Why is this one not a 10? Mainly because the story is not done. He leaves the UK at the end of this story to spend a year in the US, but from what I can gather in the first chapters of the sequel, the year is completely skipped over, even though events during that time shape what is to come. As an aside, if you have Amazon Prime or Kindle Unlimited, you can borrow the sequel in that format as well.

Simply a well written story. Rich girl/(not quite a)"Poor Boy" get started under a stressed situation.

True love is hard to find in the teen years but they did. In spite of those against them and the plotting that goes on with big business. The big fish in the small pond gets in the way but for what it's worth a well told story. The ups and downs of any relationship are avoid for the most part but you keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. It does.

Some minor editing would go a long way to improving the flow of the story.

It would have been better yet if the story (without the ending) had not been a clone of another story on line from 1997. Still a good read.
