What can I say about Family Feud an Alternate Reality Fanfic?
Dave wrote to me quite some time ago and was very angry with me. At first, I didn't really understand why. He wasn't telling me I was a terrible author he was just angry with the direction the story had taken.
I realized that his angry letter was a bit like if someone took a favorite Star Trek character and put a mustache on them or killed them off.
Instead of going off on him (too much) which would be my normal habit, I continued to talk to him. He started writing an alternate reality fanfic with the characters in my story.
That is tremendously flattering and a real joy to read the direction he is taking things with his version.
In it, he picks up after the events of Family Feud I and II and a few chapters into Family Feud III when the girls get their tattoos.
He doesn't write like I do. I tend to write like I talk, so my grammar is often a little sloppier. However, I really enjoy reading this and I hope you will check it out.
At first I thought it may be confusing since his timeline is different than mine. One of the secondary characters I hear most about is Cathy Griffin and usually people either love to hear more about her (and a few say much less).
Dave goes the more popular route of making Cathy a central character in the Taylor household which is really intriguing to me.
I hope you will give it a read and encourage him to continue to add to it.
