Damn you "Scotland"! You just cost me a lost weekend :-)
How was I to know when I started this story a couple of days ago that I wouldn't be able to stop until I had lived all of the adventures of Donnie McGregor?
As you may have gathered, this is a well written story with very few technical issues. Not a yarn for strokers. There are certainly some scenes that I found pretty hot but they are integral to the plot rather than gratuitous.
This writer has a bit of a bent for time travel but his treatment is completely unlike any other offering on SOL. If you enjoy a well-written fantasy, with just enough reality to make it all seem possible, you will love "My Race is Royal.
But be warned... make sure that you start this when you have time to keep reading all the way to the great twist at the end!
