I want to say this is just a wanna be stroke story. It's NOT. It's a romance that makes the reader add the background for them selves.
A lot of jumping around but you get the final thought as it sneaks up on you. All the odd references come together and then you think you have it figured out. You actually want more to happen between the heroine and her paramour but that would detract from the story telling.
Much said without being wordy or going into gross details. A nice tease and touch.

Now I have to read others by her to see if I have a new favorite female author.

She's that good.
