Chapter 12 of Coming Home has been submitted. I have two more chapters ready to go up soon and that will conclude Part 1 of the story. I hope to have them posted by next Sunday night.
OK, what sort of rolling dumbass would give a 2 for technical unless every other word in the story was misspelled?
It doesn't bother me if you don't enjoy the story. I fully expected some people wouldn't. But it really pisses me off when you disparage the volunteer editor who works his ass off to make my crap halfway readable and grammatically correct.
Here's my take to the fuckhead who gave it a 2 (although it is not my thought, it is stolen):
If you want a perfect piece of copy, spend some fucking money and buy a book. That way you can compensate the editor and author for the time it takes to make copy flawless.
By and large, SOL is a free site. Its content is posted by volunteers and edited by volunteers. You get what you pay for.
If you're too fucking cheap to purchase literature where compensation is provided, that's fine. But before you do something completely asinine take a look at some of the crap that passes for content on SOL and sites like it.
Or at least have the balls to send me a message so I can reply to your misgivings in kind (because I'm equally sure you're an idiot of the highest magnitude when you write e-mails) and so I can take a look at the crap you've posted on the site, if any.
To the hundreds of people who've enjoyed the story so far, thank you for your kind words. But it only takes one or two morons to completely put me off from providing any more content for their perusal or, unfortunately, yours. It saddens me that, as with the state of Florida, an idiot's vote counts just as highly as someone who had knowledge and foresight.
I've yet to decide whether to continue posting on SOL. Please don't send me e-mails to try to encourage me. It is a personal decision I'll have to make. I'm use to critics. But usually before someone takes an anonymous potshot at me or my editors, I at least get a fucking paycheck from it to make it seem worthwhile.
